Why did I decide to start blogging? I have been reading various blogs over the past couple of years and there are a few that I follow on a daily basis. I found out just this week that one of my best friends has started her own blog, and it's great! So, instead of just ignoring everything that drives me crazy, I thought I'd share with the world. I don't want to just complain, so I will do my best to also talk about the things I love and am grateful for, but on those tough days, I make no guarantees!

I've spent the last week on "vacation" visiting my grandparents in Florida. It's been great to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sleeping until I decide to wake up, not when the dogs decide they are ready to get up and go outside has been great. I've been able to spend plenty of time working on my cross-stitch, and lately, the only time I get to work on it is when I'm on vacation.

My grandfather has had trouble hearing for as long as I can remember. He has hearing aides and they work quite well...when he wears them. He also really likes to watch Westerns. It doesn't matter if he's seen them a million times, he'll still watch them...at a ridiculous decibel level - because he's not wearing his hearing aides. What was the world like before Encore Westerns?

Part of me is not ready to go back to the real world on Wednesday, but I can't wait to be back home. Maybe my next vacation will be spent at home doing nothing for a few days, but I doubt it. Who knows when my next vacation will be? Your guess is as good as mine.
